An iconic Brigitte Bardot, just as Montana imagines her: driving through Saint-Tropez in a vintage cabrio, applying her rouge on an endless summer road trip. Image does not exist, is an self sketched creation of Montana that combines her admiration for Brigitte Bardot and her love for oldtimers.
Named after the legendary Route du Soleil, the iconic road leading to the South of France, Rouge du Soleil breathes timeless elegance, nostalgia and endless summer.
This work is a unique, one-of-one painting by Montana Engels, created entirely through her signature hand-painted stripe technique. Through carefully painted lines, the image appears abstract up close and gradually resolves into detail as the viewer steps back.
