Inspired by the sun in the desert, Mirage brings the warmth to the viewers heart. The unique waves in Montana’s typical stripes technique signify the heat waves coming from the sand in the desert and distorting ones vision. A painting, with carefully placed colour details, that shifts as the light changes and as you move around it. It radiates that same magic glow and feeling as a sunset in the desert.

This work is a unique, one-of-one painting by Montana Engels, created entirely through her signature hand-painted stripe technique. Through carefully painted lines, the image appears abstract up close and gradually resolves into detail as the viewer steps back.
