The inspiration for this piece stemms back to Montanas workation on the island of Milos, Greece. The inspiration for this painting stemms back to the moonlike landscape of the Sarakiniko beach in Milos. A stunning landscape of turquoise water and beige moonlike rocks, marked by nature with stunning stripes. These same rock lines formed by wind, come back into the shapes of my painting.
The painting is a one-of-a-kind, hand painted stripes painting by Montana Engels.
Special about the technique is that Montana invented this way of painting and that when looking at it up close it looks abstract while the further you move away from the painting, the MORE detailed it gets.
