170 x 150 cm Acrylics & Mauritius beach sand and shells on 3D canvas
The inspiration for this piece came the breezy beach of Mauritius, an island, close to Montana's heart. Incorporating Maurtitius beach sand and shells into the paint, Montana allows the viewer to 'feel' with their eyes. In Mistral, Montana captures the calm and serene feeling of the Maurtitius beach overlooking the crystal clear water and endless ocean view. A nude, with a calming effect on the viewer and endless gaze in her eyes, which follows you in any space.
The painting is a one-of-a-kind, hand painted stripes painting by Montana Engels.
Special about the technique is that Montana invented this way of painting and that when looking at it up close it looks abstract while the further you move away from the painting, the MORE detailed it gets.
