120 x 100 cm Acrylics & Milos beach sand & small rocks on 3D canvas
The inspiration for this piece stemms back to Montanas workation on the island of Milos, Greece. Upon arrival she was inspired by a terracotta rock formation that was so magically lit by the sun, that it appeared to be lit from within. The painting holds the same textures, colours and feeling. This nature inspiration is therefore also where the name for this painting came from; Eos being the greek goddess of dawn, who arises to bring light to the world.
The painting is a one-of-a-kind, hand painted stripes painting by Montana Engels.
Special about the technique is that Montana invented this way of painting and that when looking at it up close it looks abstract while the further you move away from the painting, the MORE detailed it gets.
