140 x 120 cm Acrylics & Mauritius beach sand on 3D canvas
The inspiration for this piece came from the breezy border where the palm tre forest meets the open beach. Specifically in Mauritius. A moment of contrast between the cool shade of the trees and the vast, calm expanse of sand leading to the endless view on the ocean. Incorporating Maurtitius beach sand into my paint. In Aykana I capture the essence of this serene spot in Mauritius.
The painting is a one-of-a-kind, hand painted stripes painting by Montana Engels.
Special about the technique is that Montana invented this way of painting and that when looking at it up close it looks abstract while the further you move away from the painting, the MORE detailed it gets.
