This painting is about that personal evolution, the way we outgrow versions of ourselves and slowly evolve into new chapters. Some change can be loud, but inner change happens in stillness, with eyes closed chanelled within. To become someone you didn’t anticipate, but instead needed to become.

This work is a unique, one-of-one painting by Montana Engels, created entirely through her signature hand-painted stripe technique. Through carefully painted lines, the image appears abstract up close and gradually resolves into detail as the viewer steps back.
